Thinkfrog.org is the brain child of Patrick Prothe, a Portland, Oregon businessman passionate about protecting the environment. For the past several years, he looked for ways to make a big enough impact on the environment that would help fight global warming.

He continually looked for ways within his own lifestyle to make a difference, doing everything we can do as individuals - changing light bulbs, driving less, recycling more, buying local, etc. But while that's a good start, the problem is so great that it's not enough unless all of us do it. And changing one's lifestyle can be tough.

Further research led him to the biggest contributors to Global Warming - one of which is the destruction of rainforests. Recognizing that one person alone cannot really make a big dent in the problem, he launched Thinkfrog.or's Million Faces Project to make a real impact through the power of community. Also realizing that most of us are so busy in our own lives, he wanted to make it easy for people to do their part. Thus the power of one, brought together in an affordable way.

The other aim for Thinkfrog.org is to show people that they can make a real difference working together. Maybe that sounds idealistic, but the problem is real, it's now and it's not going away without focused energy. Governments are not doing enough, fast enough - and scientists are continually raising the alarm with each new study. The fact is, global warming is happening faster and at a larger scale than originally predicted.
